Alice befriends Cheryl as a way to get close to Rob and the two women begin to build a rapport. Rob continues to charm Cheryl and, as she falls more deeply for him, he cleverly aligns himself with her charitable trust.
Alice continues to build her case against Rob and meets another of his exes. She decides that, together, they'll be able to convince Cheryl just who Rob really is.
Alice travels into the past in search of answers in the present as she becomes more isolated in her investigation. A surprising turn of events makes her hopeful that justice will finally be served.
Cheryl and Alice eventually join forces but after Cheryl's livelihood and life is threatened, they discover that in order to really challenge Rob, they will have to stop playing by the rules. (Final)
